Sam Bradford, Tim Tebow, Matthew Stafford. Is this the best quarterback class ever in college football? As far as College Football talent, and NFL potential talent.

I'm not gonna research it, but I doubt it.

There have been draft years where there were some pretty good QB's taken.

wasn't marino, kelly, and elway class of 83, would be considered the best ever, IMHO.

I do see these 3 QB's all being first round draft picks when the time comes.

And yes Marino, Kelly, and Elway were class of 83. Who knows what this group might do in the pros.

I don't know how it matches up as far as how they classify the "class" - but the NFL's 1983 draft was one of the best:

6 Quarterbacks taken in the first round, four of them have played in The Super Bowl, and 3 were Hall of Famers. (We're talking about Pro Football now) so let the debate begin on the difference between great College quaterbacks, and great Pro Quarterbacks . . .

1. John Elway
6. Todd Blacklidge
14. Jim Kelley
15. Tony Eason
24. Ken O'Brien
27. Dan Marino

This only reminds me of how big of a mistake it was for the Steelers to pass up on Marino - taking defensive tackle Gabriel Rivera out of Texas Tech.

How'd that pick end up working out for you's guys?!? Geez!

Is Tebow really an NFL QB? I really don't know much about him other than he was the runner in the run/pass combo Florida used.

I'll go with yes. He was second only to Bradford in efficiency and thats not bad for a running QB.

Tim Tebow has always thrown the ball really well, I can't remember where he went to H.S., but they said he broke almost every passing record in that state

I just think all these guys have a lot more college ball and hopefully NFL ball to play before they become immortal. But it would be good to see for sure.

Yep. 1979 recruiting class blows this one away so far. Two Super Bowl wins and nine (?) appearances between them.

Just remember that greatness in college doesn't always translate to the next level; QB is by far the hardest position to evaluate come draft time; odds are that maybe 1 of these guys will have a good NFL career, so let's hope it's Sam

Tim Tebow will make a dozen probowls as a fullback

Sam's body is extremely important sideburns we must protect him.

We'll know more after this season, but, if Sam progresses in his ability to read and check off, he might just be the pick of the litter.

I see Sam, Tim, and Matt all being first rounders whenever they are drafted. As comparing the to Dan, John, and Jim IDK. But who knows.
