the man waltzes into a press event today for the BOk center in front of all the cameras, bearhugs Mayor Kathy Taylor...only to announce he won't be performing on opening night. Cited "logistical difficulties."

WTF would anyone do that? srsly.

I like Garth and his music. He seems like a nice guy. I also acknowledge he is the most internationally famous Okie since Will Rogers. I do not, however, "get" his behavior today. Send a letter to the paper d00d if that's what you feel the need to do to make sure everyone knows the score. Have your "people" issue a press release. Whatever. Do not get folks fired up by appearing at the pressie only to say, "not tonight dear, I have a headache." sheesh.

And I think the opening act will be The Eagles.

The official announcement is tomorrow at either 10 or 11 AM; i have seen both times on the BOK website. lol. Personally, i'm hoping for the Eagles as that was the best concert i have ever seen; almost 3 hours of music and NO opening act.

Great, and I'll be stuck bolting monitors to the adjustable arms at the new 911 center and won't be able to get my email from the Mayor telling us all who the mystery artist is before everyone else hears. :D
