For whatever reason, my wife and kid's ask that I make one with no beans. Can't imagine why.:texan:
hotdog chili shouldn't have beans
and apparently belongs in a bowl

For hot dogs, my recipe is this:
Wolf Brand Chili
Its a lot of work, but its worth it. YWIA.

i buy the chile molido or powdered enchilada sauce in the dried spices section of mexican aisle in the grocery--both have ground red chile and flour/corn starch as a thickener. i sautee diced garlic, onions and anaheim peppers, add ground beef. get a carmelization, stir, cook. add the powder and water (chicken stock would also be good)....and let it reduce and thicken at a simmer. bingo.

Go buy a brick of this in your frozen food section. It's excellent.

Chili has no beans. Period.
Especially the chili that goes on top of dogs.
Chili + beans = meat and bean casserole or something like that.
