View Full Version : Is 2007 the best class of Texans we've signed?

I was looking at the 2008 class and thinking how we handed "Mr February" his *** and was just curious if this was perhaps the best class of Texas kids we've signed in the Stoops era. I could only find the 2004 class to compare with that kid from Grand Prairie, Peterson, Marcus Walker, Alan Davis and Holmes. I think we got Tommie Harris and Dvoracek in the same class in 2001, so that was a pretty good class. Any comments?

In terms of rankings, you've tabbed the top two classes: 2004 and 2008. Time tells the story on whether 08 will be better. Certainly has the chance to be special.

We own Texas, btw.

Good thread. The 2008 class has the possibility of being a great one from a Texas recruit perspective (also overall).

I'm sure the King pulled a couple of great Texas recruiting classes. Billy Sims and whoever else was in that class has to rank up there.

Billy Sims, and even if there wasn't anyone else would rank up there. :D

Sims and that class signed after we won the NC in 1974. It seems to help if we win a NC!!!
