well, his solo career wasn't as good...

You read that before I fixed it. I totally missed his name on the list. Thought he wasn't there. That WOULD have been a screwjob.

oh, okay :D

i wonder where Paul would be on the list

Einstein is an interesting one to see, as well as Chuck Shultz. Snoopy still pays that well?

Although I am surprised that income from Lennon's post-Beatles efforts apparently exceeds his income from the Beatles, assuming all four got an equal split. You have to assume some solo income from Harrison (pretty decent solo career, plus the Travelling Wilburys stuff sold TONS).

Therefore the $22 represents more than just Beatles stuff, which means 1/4 of Beatles income is LESS than $22.

Although, the Lennon/McCartney songwriting credit probably pays that way instead of a four-way split, which would blow my theory/numbers all to hell.

I will say this: money isn't everything. While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Here Comes the Sun are still my favorite Beatles tunes, so those other dudes can suck it.

Yeah, Peanuts is still big business. Timeless. It will probably be around as long as there are adults who remember what it was like to be a kid.

WTF is Einstein earning on? The posters and T-shirts of him sticking out his tongue?

honestly, i have no idea, he did work in a patent office, so maybe he worked some things out for his estate and everytime someone writes a book talking about relativity or the photoelectric effect they have pay him :D

There's all kinds of weirdness surrounding who gets paid for what for Beatles songs. I think that they've finally worked it out so that each family gets a quarter of the rev after expenses.

What's Michael Jackson's cut?

Nothing, now. He sold the catalog back.

edit: Never mind, I thought he sold his stuff to Sony who sold it back to Apple Corps. As it turns out, he has joint control of the Lennon/McCartney stuff with Sony.

I wonder if that includes record sales or only licensing. Remember the outcry over the Nike "Revolution" ads? The world is a very different place today.

Actually Jacko sold Revolution. Made Beatles fans furious at the time.

I was surprised at Einstein as well. It has to be book rights of some sort.

Just because his name is on this list still does not prove that Tupac is dead.
