How much does this relate to fans? I noticed Oregon was small attendance wise.

Numbah one and two are interchangable...miserable alchoholic holes for teh visitors.

SUC in teh top 10 and they don't even sell out...throwin' a flag on that one.

The stadium in Lubbock made #24 on the list, ahead of the old Orange Bowl.

The fans are known for giving Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M all they can handle anytime they play here.

At least in OUr case, replace fans with officials here.

it's those guys in black and white that make it tough to win at Autzen

The same could be said for Texas Tech. :)

If they went by records over the last decade, i'm sure we would be number 1; i doubt if anyone else has only lost 2 home games since 99

Sooners own longest current home winning streak. (17)

OU = 2 home losses since 1999.
LSU = 4
suc = 5+
tOSU = 3 (since 2003)
Florida = 5 (since 2003)
Oregon + 6 (since 2003

Boise State = 2 home losses since 1999.

They claim to have the best home record of last 5 years, on their official website, 32-1. (OU's record over same time period at home, 32-1)

They also claim to be the "Nation's Winningest Team since 1999" on their website with only 24 losses. (OU? 17 losses during same period)

But they do have that cool blue turf; that must count for something:D

From Broncosports.com:

The "Blue Turf" at Boise State University is receiving a makeover. The last time the field was replaced was in 2002 going from Astro Turf to Astro Play. The new "Blue Turf" being installed is called Field Turf, the same type of turf in the Caven-Williams Indoor Facility. Installation is expected to be completed by early August, just in time before fall football practices start.

This is the fourth "Blue Turf" Boise State has installed at Bronco Stadium. The first was put down in 1986. The second was installed prior to the start of the 1995 season.

During the recent stretch of its success in football, most of USC's regular home games, especially the alternating games with rivals UCLA and Notre Dame, attract a capacity 92,000 person crowd.

Rank Team Record Pct.

1.Boise State Broncos 102 - 24 .809
2.Texas Longhorns 103 - 25 .805
3.Oklahoma Sooners 102 - 28 .785
4.Ohio State Buckeyes 98 - 27 .784
5.Virginia Tech Hokies 99 - 29 .773

I went back through the schedules on Soonersports...I didn't get any where near 28 losses. (22 through the 1999 season) Perhaps I missed something. Or, they are counting the vacated wins that were later given back by the NCAA?

Nebraska at 18? They must be basing this rating on the last ten years. That's all we heard about in the 90s was how tough Memorial stadium was and how their fans were the loudest in the nation. 18 sounds low.

The rest of the list looks pretty close to right on... I'd love for OU to pick up home and away games with the top SEC teams on this list.

Did you not watch the game?

When you OWN your own refs, it's a VERY hard place for the visiting team to win. I'm surprised they aren't number 1.

Man...all of the money that Booger paid and he can't get his alma mater into the top 25.

HAHAHAHA

Not even Baboon Pickens has enough money to get people interested enough in that moribund program to pay to see them play. Even he, has his limitations. His money can't keep him alive long enough to ever see his guys ever become real winners, and it can't buy OSU any fans. Then he hires a brown nose golf coach as AD, and an under-qualified yes man as coach of the Football team. Makes you wonder, with choices like that, how he ever became rich.

UGA, Alabama both underrated.

I went to grad school at Tenn during the Peyton Manning era. That stadium's huge but it's no louder than OU's stadium. LSU's stadium is everything they say it is. A bunch of drunks screaming as loud as they can, although they still manage to lose to mediocre teams there, such as Arkie last year and Tenn in '05.

I've never been to Fla's stadium but it sounds pretty damn loud on tv. I think Michigan Stadium is a place that's pretty overrated as being tough to play in. USC being on that list is a joke unless you're talking about lining up against 5 number 1 draft picks every year.

1. Oklahoma
2. Texas
3. Texas Tech
4. Nebraska
5. A&M
6. K-State
7. Colorado
8. O.S.U.
9. Missouri

11. Kansas
12. Baylor (you never quite know what to expect when you roll into Waco).
