Just bought a new home Friday and a new 42" television today. Life is good!

A letter just came in the mail from the wife unit's company approving her merit raise of $16k more per year starting next month.

Also, I was looking at recent pay stubs and we have almost maxed out the $6324 that FICA takes out per year in taxes. So starting next month, that'll be another $850 extra a month until January 1st on top of merit raise.

Maybe I can afford to shop at Circuit City now for that digital camera. :D

I started burning saturday and finished today. i had stumps and logs stacked for a coupe of years been mowing around it. Now it is nothing but a pile of ash.

I am having an excellent day too. Today is a bank holiday and I can write stupid drunky post on the web and pretend I'm working.

I'm writing on some economics piece and I think it is pretty good. I've been right on the US stock market and 99% of what I'm writing is a no-brainer, so naturally I think that it's good.

I've paid my rent, my credit card bill off this month and will soon have construction of my condo finished with about 80% equity in the thing with my company financing the rest to be paid off in less than 5 years at a fixed 2.3% interest rate.

I will be in Oklahoma within three weeks and, while I'll spend most of my holiday time on a tractor, I'm going to get fresh black-eyed peas and friend okra.

I'm in a happy place right now.
