I watched the first episode last week and laughed my butt off. I like how they referred to Jessi Duran as a "go-go dancer." My wife was like, "so when they say she's a go-go dancer..." Me: "she's a stripper, dear."

So the other night, my son decided to play "Big Balls" in the living room, using my pilates ball, the couch, the big comfy chair and an ottoman. Apparently he was successful, as he did not sustain any injuries. I was not so lucky.

I rushed into the living room from the kitchen to find out what the ruckus was all about. I immediately tripped into the ottoman that had been placed in the entry path. The force of the ottoman's blow to that soft, exposed-nervy part of my right knee simultaneously knocked loose a wooden tack strip inside the ottoman while propelling the ottoman itself into my left shin. That blow forced my left leg up in the air, the full weight of my body then coming down on my right big toe, under which the tack strip, nail side up, had falllen.

As I lay there in the fetal position, assessing whether an ER visit was in order, I was unable to appreciate the gentle wit when my son said it looked like I had been playing the "Sucker Punch" part of Wipeout.
