Only one problem. Fresno State started the season ranked 17th in many polls and had high expectations. UGA started unranked, coming off a losing season.

ESPN just invented the Cinderella story for ratings. In reality, Fresno St underachieved for most of the season and started playing as expected at the end.

Boise State was undefeated and highly ranked too. The Cinderella slipper didn't really fit there either.

I don't care if they underachieved. I mean, this team would not have made it to the NCAA Tourney if it hadn't been for them winning their conference.

This is like if Western Kentucky had won the NCAA Basketball Tournament.

I agree...12.5 scholarships makes for an even playing field.
