Are you required to use the fork tines if you just need to scoop something.....and if you are sharing with another person, is it proper to ask them to use only the fork part and not the spoon? Discuss......

Someday, when the spork is more generally accepted mainstream, they will include it in utensil sets, instead of the 10-different-fork-set, you'll have the 11-different-fork set.
