BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

OKLAHOMA VS USC

Each team goes undefeated this year. USC will sneak past Ohio State in a close one. Any loss for either team at any time is a huge disappointment.

SUGAR BOWL

AUBURN VS TEXAS TECH

This is going to be the most interesting bowl game, and the most debatable. Auburn is going to win the SEC Championship game but will have a one loss to Georgia in the regular season. However, they will beat Georgia in the SEC Championship.
As for tech they have a very good chance to get a bcs bowl. They will lose regular season games to @ Kansas and @ Oklahoma. They end up sneaking in front of Missouri because Missouri will lose in the Big 12 championship game to Oklahoma, and lose to Texas earlier in the year. (you might be asking about Texas right about now, they lose to Oklahoma, @ tech, and will lose 1 game to either @Kansas, or @ Colorado.)

FIESTA BOWL

WISCONSIN VS BYU

Wisconsin loses to @Michigan and Ohio State in consecutive weeks. However they win out the rest of the season. BYU has a easy schedule and a lot of returners on offense in a crappy conference.

ORANGE BOWL

CLEMSON VS. WEST VIRGINA

Each team should have an easy route to this bowl game, I see them each losing at least 1 game. West Virgina loses to Auburn. Clemson loses at least two games, games @ Wake Forest, @ Boston College, @ Florida State, I see them losing 2 of these 3.

ROSE BOWL

ARIZONA STATE VS OHIO STATE

Ohio State has 1 loss this season (usc). And they have the gay traditional big game with Michigan and win it, whoopty due. Arizona State on the other hand BEATS Georgia this year. They lose to usc and California.

Please let me know what you think, I'm very interested.

i think if Tech is the runner up, it would take a lot for them to not be in the Fiesta

is Booty back for USC? i haven't been keeping up. i'm not really sure who to pull for in the USC/tOSU matchup

If we are the only team to beat Tech next year and everybody else in the nation has 2 losses then is it likely we could play them for all the marbles?

and OSU has yet to give up 30 points per game

Nah, Booty is gone. Sanchez or Mustain will take over for him this Fall...probably Sanchez.

I thought there was some kind of rule where you had to win your conference to play in the championship game. Any truth to this?

Lol not for us, we did not win conference back in 03-04. I think your teasing us though.

I honestly think something was put in after we got into the Sugar Bowl. Honestly, I think there should be a rule, unless two teams from the same conference make it in.

More reasons why the BCS is retarded, a single conf cant have more than 2 teams in the BCS and Bowl Tie-Ins...there is nothing at all legitimate about the BCS other than how worthless it is

None. It was discussed, but it has yet to come to pass.

Anybody think Auburn has a chance to win the SEC besides me?

yermom
6/23/2008, 05:21 PM
anything can happen, but i have a hard time picking against Georgia or Florida

and a Big 12 team doesn't have to play in the Fiesta, but if there is a second team and the champ is in the title game, then the bowls seem to like to pick the at-large from the same conference

We go undefeated...everybody else has 3 or more losses.

I don't think they can; I think they'll win the West, but never bet against a Tommy Tuberville-coached team, especially if they play a highly ranked Florida or Georgia squad in the SEC title game.

Tech will be better...but not that much. I don't see them beating us at home or texass in Lubbock. They'll lose another game they're supposed to win..they always do.

I think only the Big XII champ has to play in it if they are not in the Title game.

JLEW1818

Ya should be an interesting year for tech, got to wait and see if they will finally get over the hump. If its not this year, its sure as hell not the next or next year.

Sooner_09
6/24/2008, 04:20 PM
This is a make-or-break year for Tech. They have potential to be better than they've been under leach. I just wish they played better teams in their non conference games.

If tech ends up having a bad year (which I dont think they will), is there a chance the uncle Leach could be gone?

Collier11
6/25/2008, 01:18 PM
If by gone you mean fired then you are crazy, he has taken Tech to levels they have never seen before. If you are talking about new job, I think he may be gone after this yr regardless

Collier11
6/25/2008, 01:24 PM
This is from Leach's BIO: He is winning, bringing in the crowds, graduating players, etc...he is doing a great job for Tech

"Leach's offense produced school records in nearly every passing category in 2000, but surpassed those numbers in each of the last seven seasons. His seven teams have combined for over 151 team and individual records at Tech. "

"In 2006 eight players were working on postgraduate degrees. For the last seven years Tech has been recognized as one of the nation's top institutions for consistently being above a 70 percent gradation rate, according "

"At the end of the 2007 season, Leach was 65–37 with the Red Raiders, including 6–2 against the Texas A&M Aggies and 1–7 against the Texas Longhorns. With a 5–3 record, he is the all-time winningest coach in postseason play in Tech football history. Leach is one of only sixteen active college football coaches who have never had a losing season. Of those, he is among nine who have been a head coach for at least five seasons.

In August 2006, Leach signed a five-year contract with Texas Tech that will pay him at least $10 million if he stays in place through 2010. Leach's guaranteed compensation will be $1.6 million in 2006, $1.65 million in 2007, $1.75 million in 2008, $1.85 million in 2009 and $2.15 million in 2010."

Well, honestly, Sam doesn't like going out in public. He is so shy and quiet in public places, a lot of times he won't go to events to spare himself the torture of being bombarded the entire time. Just a little food for thought.
