When I was at OU from 1986-90, I remember when the alumni would come in and look around the fraternity house on game days. I wondered who these old guys were, after all, some of them graduated OU in the 1960's. It was a very sad day in my life was when I realized there is the same age difference between me and the guys now living in the house now as there was between me and those "old" alumni back in the 80's. :(

I got sent to Enid (my hometown) today. I needed to interview a guy for job project. I thought this guy' name sounded vaguely familiar, but after talking on the phone, decided I was mistaken because this guy sounded OLD. So I arrive at our meeting place and sure enough, it is an old guy. Like OLD old. All bald and gray haired and such. So we do the interview and he allows as how I look familiar. I'm thinking he was a high school friend's dad maybe. I told him I graduated in '89. He says, "oh of course. I was a year behind you. Class of '90. " Well... I almost threw up.

I'm hiring a teacher for this next school year that was born the year I graduated high school...1985.

I think about the girls who had babies while in high school and how old their kids are now. Jeez, I bet a couple are probably grandparents.

On a sad note, those poor little girls that were killed at the girl scout camp outside Locust Grove would be in their 30's now...wait, no, 40's.
