So I know we have all been to a fast food place where you fill up your own drink. At 95% of these places, you get free refills. So what compels people to spend that extra quarter to get the large drink ad opposed to the medium? I understand if you are getting your food to go, but if you plan on eating in the place, why pay more for a bigger cup?

Why medium, when small(or regular) is available?

It seems like coney places are the only places that make you fill your own drink and also have the balls to ask for a quarter for refills.

Remember when you didn't get free refills anywhere? It was a real exercise in restraint when they brought your drink to you at the same time they do now. I remember the Ken's "Fill It Up Cup" seemed to be the most wonderful invention ever when it came out.

I think a lot of people are ordering meal deals that automatically come with a medium drink.

Probably force of habit, and they just do it without really thinking about it.

So you can take more drink with you. That way you can cruise in your SUV, sucking down a Pepsi, and talk on your cell phone for longer without getting thirsty.

Anymore there are no small cups. They call their small cup a medium? And yes, the medium is what comes with the "meal deal". I never "biggie size" anything. I don't want to pay more cause I'm a cheapskate, and I don't need any more french fries on by dunlap than I already have! :D

You don't "get" it as in you don't choose it, or don't understand the concept? :D

Sorry, I didn't realize you were a Soccer Mom.

I meant it in the "I don't select that beverage" way. But now that you bring it up, what is the concept?

Oh don't even get me started.

I'd like a small drink.

We don't have small drinks. Our smallest size is a medium.

What's your largest drink?

The extra large. We have medium, large, and extra large.

If you have three drink sizes, BY DEFINITION you have small, medium, and large.

We don't have small drinks.

When did ordering a drink become a freakin' Abbott and Costello routine?

No, it's more a reflection of all the Soccer Mom's in West Omaha that clog up traffic while driving their Lexii and Tahii whilst chatting on their cellphone.

Heh.............

There is something that we agree on! :D

First Pepsi > Coke

Second, I ask cause I was in line at Qdoba in Norman today and the cashier asked the group ahead of my "For here or to go?" they said for here. Then he asked if they would like drinks with their meals. They said yes. He asked regular or large, they said large.

I just don't get wanting to pay more for something when you can get the same amount of product for free. Hell, when 7-11 has the 44 ounce and 64 ounce drinks on sale for $.79 I get the 64, even though I know I can never drink it all before it gets all warm and watered down.
