For the record, I'm NOT Tommie Harris.

Good for him. Great to hear that he's learned his lesson, and no longer craps football helmets. Learning that particular restraint is paying off for him a in a big way.

Awesome! The kid deserves it. Remember when he became a starter the first day he stepped on campus. His first play (or second) as a Sooner (against UNC) he blew up the backfield for a loss.

I find it especially amusing that da bears blew off Brian in favor of Tommie. This is also further proof that you don't need to be a rookie to break a team's bank! :D

He deserves it, and for the record, Brian Urlacher is a dick head.

Agreed, but I kind of have a loathing opinion of da bears in general, so it is easy for me to hate their stars :D

Not Tommie, though. I can appreciate NFL Sooners regardless of team (why, oh why didn't AD come to the Packers?)

Urlacher still has four years left on his contract (Tommie had one). Urlacher will be 34 at the end of his current deal. With his back and neck problems, Chicago doesn't need to lock him up beyond that four years right now. Urlacher has already stated repeatedly that he wants to retire a Bear, so there's no scare that he's going anywhere.

Tommie, on the other hand, let it be known that he'd test the free agent waters when he could if they franchised him in 2009. His new extension lasts until he's 29 and he's much more of a sure thing than Urlacher four years from now.

Honestly, I'd lock up Hester too before dealing with Urlacher.

Of course he was! He never made very many tackles. ;)

Bless his rich little heart.

I doubt it's that little. From what I remember from anatomy class, with his overall size and conditioning it's probably almost the size of a football.

I wonder what they're saying about Cedric Benson...

Well... yeah... he's their only offensive threat.

As for Tommie, I wonder if Tejas fans are going to stroll on back over here to tell us how over-rated he is, and how he's not going to be a player at the next level, etc...
