If there is such a thing as a PSP guru, that is.

What do I need to know about downloading movies? I don't mind the pay sites, movie2b.com, for instance, but what format? Does it matter?

Are there land mines to avoid?

any help is appreciated. TIA!

aww, that's okay, vet. I knew this was a low percentage play to begin with. I'll just sally forth blindly and become an expert the old fashioned way: by ****ing everything up.

MPEG-4 format works fine (ipod format). Just make sure that you save them in the VIDEO file of memory stick. If it doesnt already have a file named that, create it, but make sure you use all capital letters or it wont work.

Edit: Actually, now that I think about it, MPEG-4 (MP4) is the ONLY format that the PSP supports.

I've used this before for ripping dvds to iPod. It has a setting for psp. You rip dvds you already own.

http://www.slysoft.com/en/clonedvd-mobile.html

It has a trial period, so you can see if it works before you decide to buy.

okay. I done did finger it out. you can rip right from cd to psp with windows, but you've got to be careful it gets into the right folder in the psp. the psp has a tendency to make subfolders and then not be able to find them.

4 gig is a whole lot of music.

I have a 4 gb nano...

I think I should have gone with the 8 gb.

Are they going to come out with say a 16 or 32 soon?
