If they win this title does that catapult him to a HOFer? I say yes, 6 time all star, avg 23.2 for his career so far, will likely pick up a few more AS game apperances between now and the end of his career, and has nearly single handedly led the Celts to a Title with his scoring and shutting down Kobe better than anyone ive ever seen. Will also likely pick up a Finals MVP award soon which wont hurt

I think HOF inductions in general are given out too easily, regardless of the sport. So I say no - not yet.

I agree, the HOF should be the best of the best of the best, unfortunately it is just the best of the really good and thats why I say yes

I damn sure remember Pierce tearing our asses up when he played for KU; he's in in my book. :)

therin lies the rub. do we blame the sport for not being able to contain the modern athlete? or do we blame the modern athlete for being capable of accomplishing more than they were able to in earlier eras? if a player is dominant in today's game would they likely not be dominant in the past eras, and vice versa?

Yes, especially if he wins another.

Maybe but KG just lost a lot of respect with me after the way he handled himself after the game when they went to interview him.

KG needs to grow the **** up. He looked like a total tool/punk/gangsta after dropping a few F bombs in the interview with Michelle.

Geez

Paul Pierce has been a badass on a bad team a long time. I remember him about 4 years ago making everything and carying a horrible team in the playoffs. he's a gamer and definitely deserves the HOF. One of the best outside shooters/inside slashers in the game.

That's the game I was thinking about. He was making everything. 9 for 9 from 3 or something. :D

I'm with Newbomb.

Me too. Win another title and/or make about 5-6 more All-Star teams. How about KG for the hall? Same boat are great player who played for a team who had a GM who was a moran.

KG and Pierce both are not HOF'ers, not yet anyway.
