I remember a threa about someone on here who lost a power supply for a printer and this came to mind.

Nifty idea, not that it would be backward compatible for older electronics(would it?)but, yesterday I was out in the garage looking for a power supply and was amazed at the sheer number of the damned things i've collected over the years. Not sure, but the number of power supplies i've got is close to 24.
