Sux. I guess I'll hold off for a week. Been in the news all week, but this was actually a pretty good discussion.

Every restaurant and fast food place in the Dallas area I've been to has pulled em.

That's ok, raw tomatoes suck anyway.

I figure I'm not an infant, elderly or immunocompromised, so I'm just gonna take my chances with the salmonella.

On a different note, this will be the first summer I won't be able to get tomatoes from my grandfather's garden. I'm very sad.

roma tomatoes are my favorites, but i like hothouse ones too. i like cherry and grape tomatoes but big giant tomatoes kinda gross me out. they're too squishy inside

I used to date this one girl who wouldn't even look at a cut tomotoe. She called them "blood clots"? Personally, a good ripe tomatoe is dah bomb!!!

You can grow all the red, ripe, juicy, delicious cherry/romas/etc. you want in a couple 5-gallon buckets on your porch. But no, instead you hit the company lunch/lactation room and eat leftover lasagne.:P

I can't. I kill every plant that crosses my path. The only reason my pets and kids stay alive is that they come up to me and bother me until I feed them

I know you are going to think I'm crazy, but tomatoes from my garden DO NOT taste as good as Oklahoma grown tomatoes. I think it must be the soil or something.

The one on Harvey is always packed lately, so I have been trying other places. It's basically adjacent to my office.

I usually plant a 'pizza garden' in a whiskey barrel, but haven't done so this year.

I've relied on the farmers market so far for fresh 'maters.
