Civil Defense sirens are going off. I might grab a beer and sit on the porch for a little bit to have a look see.

Apparently the Boy Scout Ranch North east of Omaha got hit with reports of multiple injuries and at least 4 dead.

Will do.

Also reports of a serious wreck under an over pass pretty near me. I assume that was the sirens I just heard.(I live right by the Douglas County Sheriffs/fire station.

It looks like things are over for now. Last report was 4 dead and 40 hurt at the Boy Scout Ranch.

The good news is that the deaths are now unconfirmed. Hopefully things are better than initially reported.

I'm tired of it too. The flooding is starting to be a major concern. My Grandparent's farm by Daykin was under a foot and half of water last week and might be again tonight. Some of the NRD flood control stuff was using the 100 year spillways last week. The ground is too saturated to take much more of this without significant problems. It's never a good sign when stuff gets compared to 1993.

No kidding... Have any farmers actually tried re-planting yet? I'd assume they would hang it up for the year after this go 'round....

Not that I'm aware of yet. I think SE Nebraska is in a little better shape that NE Nebraska in that regard. I know my Uncle was done planting by Memorial Day around Beatrice. But if it doesn't dry up soon, the low spots will be toast.

It is starting to sound like the scouts got caught outside during the tornado and they are still sending more injured to Sioux City and Omaha. It doesn't sound like the news will get any better from there.
