It has to be song that was pushed to radio and has an official video.

Here is my nomination:

It's hard to be worse than Hot Action Cop

I'd vote for anything by Amy Winehouse...and that one stupid song by Alicia Keys that just won't go away (the one where she sounds like she's whining the whole song).

anything by anyone with Yung, Lil, or Masta in the front of their 'stage name'.

That video is making me rethink my stand on eugenics.

Yes, Amy Winehouse does suck.

No arguments there. And she looks hideous too.

that's an amazingly stupid song. probably not the worst, but one of the stupidest.

the bassline is a Flea loop from a chili peppers song. which makes the vid double stupid since they show the "bass player" a couple times.. and what's going on with the guy in the "Dare" shirt? he's working a Jar Jar thing.

edit: turns out Dare's handle is "Epic".

even in the so-called post-modern irony/self-conscious parody angle "my humps" is pretty sad. all we can hope for is that "my humps" is meta-parody of a sort that only the Black Eyed Peas have yet imagined.

edit: i love that "drama, you don't want no drama" little break. great songwriting.

yeah, anything even closely associated with will.i.am. is guaranteed to be of the suck variety. i would also throw out anything touched by the *****cat dolls. and i could be incorrect, but doesn't will.i.am have his hand in that craptastical pot too? but, as of right now, i think the worst single of the 2000's is as follows:

soulja boy (http://youtube.com/watch?v=4fZ987FBwUU)

anything "hip hop" that contains an instructional dance in the song automatically makes my list of awfulness.

p.s. why can't i embed videos on here?

****'s weak. But I hate nearly everything on modern radio stations because not only are the songs average at best, but they get played so much that you want to burn the radio station to the ground.

that's good Vv. you get it. i actually showed that in a class once, in the context of "ironic" post-modernism and Dolce and Gabbana/Veblen's Theory of the Leisure Class.

good class. some smart kids in that one.
