Anyone ever been? Recommendations? Does the ruins tour come with the admission?

I went there 4 or 5 years ago, before the hurricane that went through Cozumel, etc., and loved it. Sort of a Mexican version of Seaworld without the rides. It is a natural water park combined with a zoo with some shows thrown in. As for the water, there is a sand beach cove for being lazy or floating a tube, a snorkeling cove where you can feed fish by hand and an underground (mandmade) river that is pretty cool. As for animals, there are lots to see from panthers to aquariums...plus iguanas running free all around. The Mayan night show was impressive.

The ruins inside the park are recreated and not a big deal, but the kids can climb around on them to burn some energy. Not sure if you were referring to Tulum or other real ruins.

Of yeah, you can buy tequila and such in the gift shop.
