I ate there for the first time today...the one in Norman. The food was excellent and without a doubt it was the best service I've ever received at a restaurant.

Ted's is fine. Nothing spectacular and there certainly are worse places to eat.

I think Ted's is good... I just dont understand the love affair everyone has with it. To me it is just another mexican restaurant.

BLASPHEMER!!! DONT BEDOWNGRADE TED'S!!![hairGel]

Ted's is the generic place that white bread people seem to love right? I mean why else would Sic'em be starting a thread about it?

SicEmBaylor

We have a place that's better in Waco, but Ted's is still excellent and definitely has the Waco place beat on service.

Ted's makes the best fried chicken in OKC.

Heh! Sic'em has never been to a "no hands" restaurant.

Ted's is a prime example of what great service will do to a restaurant.

It shouldn't be that hard to have consistently great service.

Kudos to Ted Curtis for catching lightning in a bottle.

Speaking of Ted's, there is a Copeland's next door to the one in Broken Arrow and it was decent, but somewhat pricey.

Tarahumara's service is on par with Ted's.

The only real reason to eat there is the atomic salsa.

Had Ted's for the first time myself a few weeks ago while in OKC during the state baseball tournament, and yes, I liked the atomic salsa, moreso than the regular salsa. I also ordered chicken fajitas but when I got it, they mixed some beef with it. They were nice enough to bring me an additional order of chicken, so yes, I'll also vouch for the excellent service.

My take on Ted's is simple. If I want a good Tex-Mex meal and there isn't a line out into the street, I'll eat there. If not, San Marcos is pretty good and so is Chelinos.

Abuelos SUCKS!

I seen one in Colorado somewhere named Carlos O'Something on my way to Winter Park. Colorado or western Kansas, I don't remember exactly.

Must have potatoes in their burritos.

Tarahumara's service is on par with Ted's.

Everything about Tarahumara's is better than Ted's, esp. food and service. But I really like Ted's, Tara's is just better. I think Ted's is overpriced, but I guess they got to pay for the new building.

Teds, IMO == mediocre food, outstanding service.

But Tarahumara's food is not only better, it's cheaper, and the service is pretty damn good there, too.

Best chile verde ever.

Honestly, I don't remember. I ate there once recently, and it was so unimpressive that I don't even remember what it is I ate. :O

I'd eat there again, and I'd recommend it -- just with the caveat that IMO Tarahumara's is better and cheaper.

the beans and rice are meh, like any other place IMO, try the mexican corn and potatoes instead

try the fajitas or anything with the fajita meat in it, like the best mexican tacos or the pollo primo. the chicken is really good, the beef is better.

also if you like spicy stuff, order the fried jalapenos, i think i learned that one from Dean

the nachos supreme with shredded beef is also really good. their enchiladas are kinda average

i love that place, as long as i order stuff without meat in it.

the veggie tamales on Fridays and the cheese rellenos on Thursdays are awesome
