I don't like that one....when I was 17, I had an accident when that was on the radio and it reminds me of it every time I hear it.

I'm kinda partial to "She's Got Legs"

ZZ Top? Are they those old guys that were David Cook's backup band on the AI finale?

La Grange

It's also the soundtrack to the pinball machine "High Speed II - The Getaway". Everytime I hear La Grange I think of sirens and cops on their loudspeakers yelling, "PULL OVER".:D

Definitely their best video....based solely on the tall blonde.

As for song, I would add Gimme All Your Loving, then Tube Snake Boogie to the list.

"Pearl Necklace" and "Tube Snake Boogie"? What happens when you play them at the same time? :D

How about "I heard it on the X"?

While Dean says we missed VK's post, did anyone see this and think "You know how I know you're gay..."

Yes! That's one of the greatest set-opening songs ever written. I think I have to throw in for "Cheap Sunglasses" or "My Head's In Mississippi," though, because ZZ Top without the punchy lyric writing would be closer to just another blues rock band, and those are two of the best in that regard.

I was stumblin' through the parkin' lot, of that invisible Seven-Eleven...

Hell, I even like "Burger Man".

I don't see any references to "Tejas" here:

- Arrested For Driving While Blind
- Pan Am Highway Blues
- She's A Heartbreaker
- Ten Dollar Man

And the goofy "Manic Mechanic" - heh - what's not to like about that one?

Saw them in concert with Skynyrd a few years back and was highly disappointed; the music was good, but no hot chicks and no stage show and all their moves seemed choreographed

Always liked the guitar on "Got Me Under Pressure".

But I've always been partial to "La Grange".

King Crimson

my only problem with La Grange (and it's a great tune) but it's a little too close to being the John Lee Hooker song it basically is with the "boogie" riff and JLH's trademark "how how how" (from Boom, Boom, Boom).

i don't think Billy G. and those guys were doing anything but tribute but still detracts for me a little. just enough to prefer waiting for the bus.

For me, La Grange got pushed to the top partially because I have family from La Grange. That adds that little extra touch of fun to the song for me.

Not quite. It's the oppositeness of the situation that makes it fun.
