Uh...I'd like a piece o' dat Messico action, assuming Fort Bliss can scrounge up a tank for me. I can get a crew here on the SO.
Lemme seeeee. Driver/SicEm; Loader/SAS; Gunner/Gonzo, P.; and starring my own experienced self in the Commander's position.
Bugler! Sound "Charge"!

In Palomas, Mexico which is a border town across from Columbus, NM (south of Deming) the entire police force has resigned and the Chief of Police fled to Albuquerque seeking asylum.

The messicans are really complaining about the flood of guns from 'merica. They have real tight gun control down there, and we don't, so they claim their thugs get their guns up here.

I have a solution....it's called "border control."

What's that 1960's western that had the gringo outlaws get into a gunfight at the end where they used a water-cooled Browning belt-fed machine gun to kill 1/3 the population of Mexico? It also had to be one of the first Westerns to show tiddays.

****, what was the name of it.

Juarez. THE reason I dug orders out of the bottom of my duffel and told the 1SG that, although I appreciated that the commander wanted to keep me on Ft. Hood I was needed on Ft. Bliss. I'd just turned 18 in Iraq the month before and knew the layout in El Paso where I could drink at several GI bars, go to Juarez, and chase college girls. El Paso really had the worst of everything and it was a great place to be as an 18 y.o.. It really is a craphole city though and I'll never go back there now, voluntarily.

The only good thing to come out of El Paso was Old El Paso. :)
