OK, who the hell knew about Mex the dog?. I've been attending OU games since 1970 and I didn't have a clue. Based on the following link, I have to go with Mex the Dog. Any mascot that can shut the university down for his funeral deserves my vote. Since he is buried somewhere underneath the stadium, does that make us Aggies? Yikes ;)

For the future I sorta favor P. Gonzo or, mebbe, SicEm (assuming he won't get lost on the way to the stadium.)
They could replace the Horse Peegs and they'd make a lovely couple.

Didn't OU have a little dog that was dressed in a red outfit and they let him run around the field before games? I grew up across the country but seem to remember that on TV. He wasn't Mex. I never saw Mex except in pictures of OU history. If the little dog belonged to Ohio State or anybody else, I apologize to Sooner fans. But I seem to remember this little dog on TV back in the late 60's or early 70's.
