Got to say that I think football is #1 in this state, so it would have to be football.

Yeah but pro football? I love me some college football, but the pro version? Not so much.

I do recognize that in a statewide vote I'd probably lose though.

An NL MLB team, just so I can see the Cubs every season.

Since we only have the facilities for 3 of the four, NFL isn't really an option.

I voted for MLB, and I agree, an NL team would be preferable, considering that OKC is right between Rangers and Royals territory. I would also put the team in the NL Central and move the Pirates to the NL East.

I'd love to see MLB in OKC but I don't think that OKC would do a good job of filling the stadium up.

The NFL would be pretty cool IMO.

One thing would be required to make the MLB a success here. That is a salary cap. Without, we'd never have the money to be competitive. A football team on the other hand would work here. We've got enough fans.

you could easily grow/build upward.

yeah, there's room to make the brick a mlb park.

I don't know, you're talking about adding at least 17,000 seats. I don't think the footprint could support that.

I don't know, you're talking about adding at least 17,000 seats. I don't think the footprint could support that.Go up. You could drop the parking garage or incorperate it as a structure. There is potential.

The real hang up is, noboday cares about MLB, nationally. MLB and NHL are becoming nitch sports. NFL and NBA are the only ML sports that OKC could support. IMHO

So you're going to create a stadium with over 50% of its seats in the upper deck?

MLB is teh succ tho.

The Marlins looked closely at OKC a couple of years ago.

I kinda wish we had the Marlins. I think we could get used to winning the WS every 5 years, selling all of the great players for prospects, sucking for the next 4 years, rinse and repeat.

Too bad the Cubs haven't bought into that principle.
