I've been using (rather heavily, I might add) the hockey sister site of these other sports sites, but since he have no Sooners in the NHL, I'll post the links for these other sports:

Football

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/colleges/oklahoma/

Sortable in all sorts of ways. Includes draft lists (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/colleges/oklahoma/drafted.htm) and detailed stats (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/colleges/oklahoma/stats.htm) for everyone ever to play in NFL or AFL.

It's also got player offensive stats for OU going back to 2007.

There a lot of trivia answers here.

Baseball

http://www.baseball-reference.com/schools/oklahoma.shtml

More fun stuff, though the interface is a little different.

Basketball

http://www.basketball-reference.com/friv/colleges.cgi?college=oklahoma
Sooners in the NBA

http://www.basketball-reference.com/friv/draft.cgi?college=oklahoma
Sooners drafted by NBA

I'm not sure how often these sites are updated in-season, but I'm pretty sure it's daily based on my time in the hockey site.

For those of you who are hockey fans and used to using hockeydb.com, hockey-reference.com will not completely replace it. h-r.com is stronger in providing more data fields, but it only covers NHL players (they don't have WHA loaded, whereas the sister sites cover ABA and AFL). hockeydb.com covers more leagues, national and international.

My, aren't you a negative nancy?

When you decide that having so many neg spek after only eight posts is reason to re-register under a different name, you should TOTALLY go by "Negative Nancy." People might giggle too much to realize how negative your postings are.

In any event, lighten up, dude. We link stuff on here that may or may not meet your satisfaction, but at least you know that you'll likely hear about resources here before other places like NewsOK.com... heck, you'll probably get their sports column ideas here first, too!

So, in conclusion, taking yourself too seriously will result in you turning into this guy:
:gary:

Getting negative about things that you could have been nicer about will result in you turning into this guy:
[hairGel]

So anyways, welcome to SoonerFans.com. Please be nice.

Being a free agent signee, for the purposes of this statistical system, is irrelevant until such a point as they have played a regular season game. The athletic world is FULL of George O'Leary types who say "yeah, I played for _________," but of course never did. I seem to recall someone from around here actually wrote about this for SportsIllustrated.com (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/hockey/nhl/news/2001/10/08/just_stats/) some years back. These types of sites help debunk claims that 10-15 years ago would have been very difficult to verify/debunk.

As for the recent draft. Yeah, they're behind. They also just launched their hockey site, so I'd say they've been pretty busy. Beside, it's not as though there aren't already a hundred sites that break down the last draft. The question is, how many of those sites also have the 1972 draft? Not many.

Maybe we won't need a football pro tracking site soon... the NFL owners just voted to opt out of their labor agreement. (http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/F/FBN_NFL_LABOR?SITE=OKTUL&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT)

But, this might be a positive. Here's how I see it.

1- All of our nice guys get cut or will get cut soon.
Examples: Q cut from Broncos et al, Paul Thompson cut from Packers, JD soon to be cut (he was IR'd last season so he could stay with the team despite his cutting).

Nice guys! They deserve to be in the league in this era of drama queens!

So...

1- NFL owners refuse to pay pampered whiny beyonce players.
2- Players union orders a strike.
3- Players who are no longer obliged to the union (i.e. CUT players) get into the NFL!
4- Whiny beyonce striking players run out of money and have another reason to whine.

Win-win situation! Although, I would feel bad for our all-pro non-whiners out there like AD, TRRW and others...

no i am just a fan like everyone else. i went to school with j.d. runnels and am good friends with him and i just started to get to know the players through him.then there is a guy joe vaughn that is a trainer that i know that introduces me to the guys.most of my relationships with the players are just from obtaining autographs from them.they know me because i am always asking them to sign something for me.they know it is for me and not to sale.they are real cool and always willing to sign for me.keith nichol and i was real good friends we went and hung out a few times.i am going to miss that kid.i am 25 but when it comes to my hobby of ou memorbilia i am a little kid
