There seem to be very different opinions about how a gun should feel. I definitely like Hogue grips on about everything I shoot.

When it comes to 9mm autos...opinions vary and I'm curious.
I prefer the loose feel of the Ruger Ps, some of my friend and family prefer a tight feeling gun like a Beretta.

I guess it depends on if you're target shooting or man killing. For target shooting, probably nice to have them faintsy ergonomically engineered Hogies. For tactical sitcheeashuns, you want slabsides, and you also want the destructive power of the greatest handgun cartridge ever designed by a human, the .45 ACP.

I love my grips and since that's what I shoot they'd be fine in a tactical sense for me, but I agree about the .45

Actually, Dad has an old .38 special with a funky plastic grip with a thumb rest. Awesome grip, but plastic bothers me because it breaks.

For the Colt fans, oops.
If you're a Taurus person - I guess you can choose "other."

there's an interesting story there believe it or not and the Papacy weighed in on it.

In 1139, the Second Lateran Council stated at Canon 29.
We prohibit under anathema that murderous art of crossbowmen, which is hateful to God, to be employed against Christians and Catholics from now on.

This was done because crossbow wounds were grievous, hardly ever healed and were especially nasty. Mind you, His Holiness didn't ban crossbows. He just prohibited their use on anyone but heathans and Muslims.

I favor my Glock 23 in .40 cal, but the only 9mm I have is a Smith (6906) so the Smith got my vote. Where I to buy another semi-auto I'd go with the Sig though prolly in the .40 as opposed to the 9mm.

As much as I want to...

I'm not gonna post the "Your Favorite 8mm" poll.

Laugh all you want, but I am a wheelman. I am a lot more accurate with a revolver, and really, unless there are more than 6 assailants, I should be fine. ;)

Have you seen the new .327 Magnum? Ruger is the first to come out with a revolver for it (SP101), and well...I want me one. :D

I'm surprised a little. SSC never met a 9mm he didn't like.
So far, Glock is running away with this, no surprise there.
I thought Sig Arms was held in higher esteem around these parts.

can't go wrong with s Glock. Albeit a tad pricey but worth it IMO.

I wish that I had bought a Sig back in the day when I bought either my S&W 9mm or my Glock 23, really in place of the Smith truth be known...Now that I have the two semi-autos I can't justify going and buying the Sig.

Only bad thing about Sigs is they're kind of expensive.

I also think people just like sayin: I got a Glock.

I just got a new Glock .40SW with Hogue grips. I love it.

But I'm saving up on a Sig .40SW. I love how those feel in your hands.

Sorry to get off track. I know you were asking about 9mm. In that case, ideally, I prefer the Sig. But for the money, the Glock is really nice.

I'm one of those that just don't like the way a Glock feels. Just awkward to my longish hands I guess. And too light for some reason. I think I prefer the heavier guns for steadiness.
