Look it's the name man. The I-talian Stallion. The media will eat it up. Now who discovered America? An Italian right? What better way to get it on than with one of its descendants?

who was the fighter from the last UFC ppv that quoted ROCKY IV? the whole, "if you can change..." bit. and mocked the other fighter in the ring who wouldn't fight? that guy was awesome.

I'm watching "Rocky Balboa"...

In the first part of this movie....did they kind of do some sort of weird makeup job on him?

Were they trying to make him young enough to make it a believable comeback?

At what point did they ever care about believeability in the Rocky Movies?

I know but I thought they lied to me about how anyone could grow up to be POTUS and Barrack is close.

Oops...turned another thread into a political thread....sorry Veritas. :D

The movie seems to get better the longer I watch it though...

I think I heard folks saying this one was really good when it came out so I thought I would give it a try since I have all the HBO, SkinnyMax, Starrz and Encores for free for a month.

All the Rocky movies improve as they go on. The best way to maximize this is to begin drinking at noon and watch all six in a row.

As a kid...I did that with the Planet of the Apes movies.

Watched all 5 at the theatre....had enough dough to eat movie food through them all.

I learned my lesson that day...lol

Ever wonder what Carl has been up to recently?

Training US soldiers.

It is a marriage of military technology and Hollywood fakery; some 350 Arabic-speaking Iraqi-Americans and plainclothes Nevada National Guardsman live here almost year-round to offer American trainees what one officer described as "a vortex of chaos." The insurgents even get acting lessons, coached by Carl Weathers, best known for his portrayal of the boxer Apollo Creed in the "Rocky" films.

Yeah, it's a 2006 article. Still.

Heh.
