Seems to me it would be a lot more effort than it's worth.

the real question is though

if polytheism was real, wouldn't have 'God' not been 'bored' enough to have the desire to have that 'big inning' in the first place?

God would have had other Gods to occupy his time :pop:

I'm fascinated by paganism and the way it was essentially demonizied by the early Christian church.

Let's see our forefathers had less than 1,500 years of the Christian faith after possibly 50,000 years of a pagan polytheism faith.

I'm not sure why this resonants with me. Oh, I guess the arrogance of my Baptist cousin missionaries going around the world and telling people that their father didn't know God, their grandfather didn't know God and none of their ancestors knew God. But, they have a personal connection to the Almighty despite not actually living a life that should be really God-inspired.

So, that whole inquiry got me interested in what my grandfather's great grandfathers actually thought.

Were they saved? Did their knowledge of good and bad save them? Did their feeling that the gods were also good and bad affect their decisions?
