Get a cherry red Gibson ES and duck walk across the stage like Chuck Berry. It will be more memorable and meaningful.

I've grown to hate seeing people graduate.

Nontheless, congratulations. I hope to be there one day myself.

Awesome, PG! I remember the walk back to my car after taking my last final at OU. Like a huge weight had been lifted... mixed with "I bet I'm really gonna miss this place this time next year."

I'll hoist a beer in your honor this weekend!

I feel ya Gonzo....I walk on Saturday; only took 6 years and 3 schools but it will be done!!! Grad party on Friday, dinner with friends and family on Saturday, Skyy Bar with some of my classmates and OU grads Saturday night, oh and the array of cash gifts from people!!!

proud gonzo

depression of grad school? you're doing it wrong.

Grad school was WAY easier than undergrad for me. Dealing with just two or three classes a semester pwns taking 9 classes a semester.

I really don't remember mine, but then 1982 was a lifetime ago and by the time I walked across I had already been a grad asst. for a semester. I think maybe some CEO from Exxon or something talked.

Make sure you document it well, I don't even have a single picture from my undergrad commencement. Someday you'll be an old fart and and you'll want to remember those big moments.

Congrats, and welcome to the ranks of alumni of the greatest university anywhere. (I might be a little biased.)

One other suggestion - make sure you register with the OU alumni association. They have a permanent e-mail address that I've had through 3 ISP changes and 1 move.

Enjoy your day and have great fun working on your grad degree. I know I did!

I felt the same way when I was a youngster, but as you and reflect on your life, sometimes those things grow in importance. Just sayin'.

Have you recuperated yet? I was in Norman and thought about dropping you a line, but I figured you'd be busy. ;) hehe, yes. I didn't need any recovering from grad celebrations aside from catching up on sleep (I think I got home at 4:30 sunday morning). And that would be a lot easier if my parents didn't keep calling and waking me up in the mornings. :O
