We've been lookinf around lately at buying one of these.

I would have never thought about Sears for mowing equipment but the other day I needed some Craftsman sockets and decided to take a peek at this one they had on the floorroom.

Evidently Bobcat makes this baby for them.

It looks rock solid to me and could be had for $4,499.99

It listed for $6,299.99

I know there are plenty of nice tractors out there but for the money...this one seems hard to beat.

What says the SO?

I bought my first one. A Brush Hog with 20hp Honda Vtwin engine this weekend for $5500. After first use. Its worth twice as much. :D I don't see how you could go wrong if, it does look well built. This hog is heavy metal with welded seams. No plastic anywhere. As a matter of fact after looking at the pic closely it is the very same body style!

If you are going to buy one, spend the extra money and get one from a dealer. Sears, Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. try to sell the "same" mower as the dealers, but the ones they sell are made with cheaper materials. Less quality transmissions, mower decks, belts, etc. Buy a higher quality mower and with regular easy maintenance, (oil changes, cleaning air filters) the think will last you 10-15 years with no problems. The other cheapy models, you will find yourself replacing belts, blades, etc often.
