Didn't see this posted anywhere. So I wanted to bring it up.

Soonersports.com has something they're doing. They want us to vote for the 10 greatest wins of the 2000's. They've also got videos from each game.

http://www.soonersports.com/ot/01_greatest_wins_2000s.html

I voted earlier today at work. But I didn't start watching the videos until now. I just finished watching all the 2000 games. Man oh man did that bring back some awesome memories from those games. What a season that was. It never gets old seeing how everything fell into place that season and how we dominated teams we weren't supposed to dominate. Good times. Enjoy.

Did anyone else get confused when one of the options was
2002, OU 35 Texas A&M 24

Looking at some of those games, I think they should have narrowed it down to five. All great wins, but some of those games were against teams that either weren't ranked all that highly ('Bama) or were massively overrated (Wazzu). Orange Bowl against Free Shoes U. was an easy #1 though.

October 7, 2000. The one that started the run to the national title. 63 - 14 beat down of our hated rival.

gotta be a&m 2000.

that was the biggest trap game and any other team would have lost that game after the stretch they went through.

about half of my votes went to that 2000 year. The KSU games, atm, texas.... Just brilliant stuff. The Weinke smackdown. Just awesome football.

Gotta love the 77 - 0. And the ESPN sports reporter saying Bob and the boys ran it up. They tried everything they could to not score, but A&M was just that good.

Another vote for 77-0 here... yeah we ran it up with that last goal line possession  . Didn't they use a running clock in the 4th quarter of that one?

Me too. It's simply hard to look at that season and not want to vote for all the games they made available to vote for that season. Especially after you watch the videos from that season...it brings that spark back of the Sooner Magic..and watching Josh make big plays. Just awesome.

I'll have to agree. I was there in the 12th row on the 35. My old man said, "Son, remember this game- you'll probably never see anything like this again." Then we did!

No victory over aggie-lite should be on OUr Greatest Wins list . . . those games Oklahoma should win, every year, by double-digit margins.

1 Orange Bowl over FSU
2 On the road over KSU (game 1, 2000)
3 unranked OU beats No. 5, 11-1 Oregon in the Holiday Bowl was huge for getting us back on track.
4 OU/TX 2001... now that was a ballgame... not ridiculously easy to move the ball, a true game of inches where the team with the bigget hits stole the show. Superman lives here.
5 (my homer pick) 51-13 over Miami. UM ended up sucking harder than an aggy on prom night, but just think Sooner fans... how would you like to smack down USC one day in front of a record crowd at a record loud in Norman? Special game for me as a good friend who attended with me is no longer with us. Imagine waiting 20 years to get that revenge, no matter how good they end up being. Imagine their team looking terrible the weeks leading up to the game, but their arrogant fans still acting like it's going to be a cakewalk. Imagine the sweet taste of their tears of infathomable sadness as they leave early in the 4rd quarter, just in time to see one player burn them for his third TD on the day. Imagine what goes through that despised rival's mind everytime they try and look back on what they've done to us, just to remember what it's like to travel half-way across the country with their chests all puffed out and be sent home pwn3d. I'll never forget "you'll see when we win" by that snot-nosed Javarris James and the threads on every rival's boards talking about how they already had their popcorn out to watch us get beat down and the frustration I read on those same threads when I got home. :D

I went to every game in 2000 home and away and the K-State game was #1.

I hd mostly 2000 season games in my top 10.I had UT,KSU,FSU,Nu all in there. My favorite was the Husker game.I was at Owen Field with my dad for that one.It was really loud at first BUT you could hear a pin drop after the 14-0 Husker lead. That was a defining moment in OUr march to the NC.OUr boys gutted it out and smothered the Scarlet and White from that point on.

If I could have voted for every game of 2000 thats what I would have done, the Sooners rising from the ashes to take the NC back were it belongs, and of those games my favorite was the Nebraska game(besides the NC game). Storming the fields again, being ranked #1 again, the streets shutdown for half the night cause noone wanted to leave. Sooner Magic was back and so strong in the air you could have cut it with a knife. aaaaahhhhhhhhh

I wanna to vote but my neighbor's son has been almost 9 since 2000. It is too old news now.

I think Bob Stoops need to win another one soon. Otherwise, I will fed up with 2000 vote best win.. 2000 vote best catch .. 2000 vote best cheerleaders...2000 best beer..

Man, I always think about how embarrassing that 55-19 game was, but I wonder how embarrassing it is for Texas to lose to us in 2000 63-14 and then lose to us in 2003 65-13.
