My electricity bill came to almost $300 this last month.
That's crazy for my small 900sqft apartment.
And, I somehow believe that it is just going to get more expensive.
What do you pay?
Not nearly that much. The electric company averages out our year and we pay about the same, year around. We also have gas, though, for like heating and whatnot.

$300 sounds really high. I don't think that ours gets over $200 in the summer when we're running our AC constantly.
Maybe you have somebody piggybacking off your electric line. Have you noticed any suspicious looking extention cords? :D

I highly recommend getting your meter tested.

~$75/month for my 720 sq ft. apartment. But, I hear Xcel Energy is planning a 10%-13% rate hike sometime soon.
$50 in the winter and up to $300 in the summer. We have solar screens, radiant barrier and attic fans to try to keep up.
The AC is a killer

I'd say $50 on avg for about a 400 sq. ft. apartment. I make sure not to use the AC here, and I can handle cool Oklahoma winters better than most people, it seems.
