So I ordered the first season on Amazon. Will it be Edward James Olmosy goodness?
It's kinda moved away from pure Sci-fi though into some kind of political drama. They need to get back to blowing sheet up.

I agree. Converting Apollo into a political hack was dumb. I'm getting bad vibes about this last season.
And, yes, I know....

i think it's pretty decent. it's well done, visually. it tries a little too hard sometimes and whatnot....but i like it.

It's good. I'm glad this is the last season, tho.
I tried to watch the miniseries when it first aired. I didn't even make it through that, and I never watched the show. But every time I turned around, someone was raving about how damn outstanding it was, so I decided to try again. I rented seasons 1-4 and then watched 4.5 online; I finished "Daybreak" a couple of hours ago. And now, having watched every episode, I can say with full confidence that everyone that calls it the best show on TV is a f*ckin' moron. The effects are stellar, the acting is great, but the writing is meh at best.

This reminds me that since I actually spent money on buying the first season, I should make an effort to get past the third episode at some point.
Yes you should. Enjoy the show while you can, before it totally falls apart in some metaphysical faux-religious mess.

I could do that, or I could just rewatch Dexter and Weeds.
What, and miss all the sporadic, faint glimpses of Katie Sackhoff and Tricia Helfer side-boob? IT'S SO EDGY!

Nope...
Ya ordered the wrong one and you'll get Lorne Green creaminess!
As a hardcore sci-fi fan I went into withdrawal pains on Friday night, though there will be a new series based on the BG universe next fall. Till then I have to be content with Doll House (hoping that show finds an identity) and wait for another season of Doctor Who.
Ah yes, the spin-off of a remake. The sign of a true hack.
I tried to watch the Caprica trailer; didn't even make it all the way through. Galactica 1980 is about to get upgraded to the second-worst Battlestar Galactica spin-off ever.
