I played golf there about a brazillian years ago. Yeah, it's gorgeous.

And no, it's not the hotel from the Shining.

The Gaylord's thank you.....

The hotel that the book The Shining was set at was The Stanley Hotel (http://www.stanleyhotel.com/about.html) in Estes Park, Colorado. The TV movie a few years was was filmed there. The Stanley Kubrick version was based on the Timberline Lodge (http://www.timberlinelodge.com/index.php) on Mt. hood in Oregon. They used some outside shots of the hotel and built a mock up in studios in London.

shut up we just had a bottle of wine. I can not be held responsible for drunken misspellings.

Anyone who stays there this summer will get to eat food prepared by Mr. NMS (he's doing his chef school internship there). And it is great.....one of only 18 Five star/Five diamond resorts in the country. Or that's what he says....I really don't know what that means, I just know that I get an awesome discount in their spa while he is working there.

Nothing beats the Broadmoor.....dad and I stayed up there for the 2001 OU/AFA game and we got the cheapest room rate and hell that was nice. I thought the silk robes were complimentary that were in the closet but I found out they weren't...oops, took one anyway, it was tempting. Oh, and the wealthy "scenery" all around...:) I was also there in 2004 for a few days, never golfed but pretty much did everything else. It's unbelievably beautiful and worth at least one day/night if you have the chance.

We went to the spa yesterday and had a massage and it was incredible. They have an aromatherapy room that is so cool.

The bidet got a lot of giggles out of me and my mom and well. It has an osculating spot and you could tell it how hard you wanted the water.
