Not that we haven't had speed on our team...but anyone notice the forty times on this recruiting class? Even the LB's are running 4.5's or better.

Wait until they all start running at the NFL combine in a few years, those will change drastically.

Yeah, you can't pay attention to the HS 40 times. Most are bogus.

Considering we bulk guys up like we do, I wouldn't pay too much attention to a word-of-mouth 40-time some new dood runs.

The only reason those times get slower, is for some reason guys start putting on weight when they get ready for the combine.

In high school those guys run the 40 every Friday after football season. The coach has probably timed 'em at least 50 times since the season has ended. At the combine you only get two chances or maybe three. Stoops and co. have never recruited based on 40 times anyways.
