You and me both, Vet.

That's a hard workin', lunchbox sorta guy right there. He just might be one you hear about in 4-5 years that steps in behind an injured #1 guy and makes a name for himself. You just never know.

I am surprised that AP is only weighing in at 191.

Oklahoma State Cowboys Drafted:

Drafted from TU: Chris Chamberlain, linebacker by St. Louis.

Offered a Free Agent contract by Jacksonville: Paul Smith, QB of Tulsa.

Former Sooners drafted: Brandon Keith of Northern Iowa by Arizona.
Tashard Choice of Georgia Tech by Dallas.

Total of 6 former Sooners drafted; total of 2 Golden Hurricane drafted or offered contract.

Total of 0 from OSU.

Someone on the orangepower board justified the slight by saying that none of the seniors was recruited by Mike Gundy. (What did he do as an assistant coach?). Is he saying Les Miles stunk as a recruiter?

Around there. He is shown at 196 on a lot of sites. I figured he might bulk up a bit for the NFL.

Just to update found a site that lists all the undrafted free agent signings and it looks like Marcus Walker signed with the Vikings and JJ Finley signed with the niners.

And a link for anyone who cares... http://www.silverandblackpride.com/2008/4/27/462138/2008-nfl-draft-undrafted-f

If nothing else I think he'll be a special teams beast.

...and a more then adequate backup RB.

Adarius Bowman??? What a huge downfall.

Adarius Bowman??? What a huge downfall.

I heard he got picked up by the Cowboys.

I am happy that Garrett Hartley got picked up. He is an ace-in-the-hole placekicker.

And how can a team go wrong with a tight end named Joe John?

Just went to orangepower.com for their take on all this. They have a new thread asking, "What Cowboy will be drafted next year?".

The first page of answers is pretty much-"Pettigrew, maybe--". This is the answer given from the same fans that brag about their up and coming football team-the one which will dominate the Big 12, yadda, yadda, yadda.

Adarius Bowman??? What a huge downfall.

Not really... he caught a lot of passes for a spread offense like many Texas Tech receivers do. Most of his hype came from Boone's farm. However, he doesn't suck... he is decent, just a bit of a bonehead off the field and needs to show up better in big games. I can see him making the squad like Sam Hurd and the like there.

If Dallas keeps Bowman he'll be an H-back type. There is no way he'll play WR in Dallas.

I also saw that Akim Millington was picked up by someone as a free agent (don't have time to look up where, sorry)

Allen Patrick is going to blow someone's mind. He is very underrated.

I agree. The Packers once drafted undersized, underhyped receiver Donald Driver in the seventh round... and he has been our best receiver this decade (don't mention Javon Walker, he's an unmentionable now).

But, he's got expectations on his shoulders too, as illustrated by this Baltimore Sun story:

Baltimore obtained several potential special-teams standouts, including ...Oklahoma running back and former safety Allen Patrick.

They quote Mel Kiper on Patrick:

"They did take on a Harbaugh mold for what he wants in a player... Patrick is a tough kid and a really good special-teams player. He got several guys that are going to help them in that area of the game."

The article is here. (http://www.ravens24x7.com/column_view.php?cid=33&id=2381&view=archive)

As always, a very good indicator that the OU NFL team is now the Sooner Ravens, not any alternative option that might be brought up from time to time ;)
