Last night I got a call that my brothers house had caught fire.

We were on-scene until 11pm.

The furnace area caught fire and burned through into the attic.

The garage, kitchen, breakfast nook, living room, dining room is toasted.

The rest is heavily smoke damaged.

The 3 kids are fine as they weren't either at home or in the house when it caught fire. My Bro and his Wife are in shock. They were getting ready to go out of town.

They are insured. But they are trying to decide what direction to go right now.

Your prayers and good thoughts would be appreciated right now as it's pretty stressful on them and their family.

I'm sure we'll be able to address their immediate needs over the next couple of days.

TIA for your prayers.

as everyone else said, I'm glad the family was unharmed. That has to be a horrible thing to go through though - I hope and pray nothing like that ever happens to me.

my thoughts and prayers are with the family.

My Bro has moved his Family into the nearest hotel to the house.

They did a walk through with the insurance folks today.

The start of their rebuilding / relocation has begun.

Thanks everyone for your prayers and good thoughts.

That must be quite terrible thing to go through. Like everyone else here, I'm glad that everyone was safe.

I hope your brother and his family can put their lives back in order and move back home as soon as possible.

They are in my prayers. God please bless them.

Truth. Gospel, pure-D, USDA Grade A truth.

Hope it all shakes out for you and yours, man.

The crews on scene, did they nail down a cause determination?

I think they are leaning towards a defective furnace, poor installation etc...

I heard yesterday they are getting the insurance folks, builder, furnace folks and I guess some others together for a better idea.

The whole furnace area is gone. Just a big black hole in the middle of the house that goes straight up through the 2nd floor and roof.

I talked with the Limestone Fire Crew and they felt it was the furnace.

They were getting ready to train some new guys the next day. They got a preliminary crash course that night working on my Bro's house.

Thanks TF
