As much as I hated the old dump, it isn't easy watching it come down.

I will never forget NU sealing the deal on the 94 title in the Orange Bowl. It was one of the more magical venues for college football with all those Orange Bowls, the Hail Mary game. Plus it is pretty rare for a college stadium to go by the wayside. It just seems like it shouldn't be gone.

Billy Brooks' end around against Meatchicken in '76. National Title

Billly Sims' last carry and touchdown as a Sooner in '80

J.C. Watts' winning drive in '81

Keith Jackson's touchdown catch in '86. National Title

Rock Calmus' hit and The Real Roy Williams' recovery in '01. National Title

Later OB.

Jimmy Johnson ruined a perfectly good road trip back in the day. Still, it holds some great Sooner memories.

I got carried away by all the "negative vibes". It was a place of much enjoyment to me. The fact that it is viewed with such disdain by some is their problem. I slouch corrected.

I think much of the animosity is due to the Orange Bowl officials. Nothing but a pack of rabid weasels, they are.

Lots of memories getting torn down right there. Just think when Yankee Stadium comes down.

and to think they are going to have the Marlins play at that site soon....will be less filled than a Hurricanes game.

I bet a lot of folks who have fond Sugar Bowl memories, such as OU for a few, had some mixed emotions seeing Tulane Stadium go.
