They done dug up mah yard!

Any advice? When I moved in, I knew moles were a problem at one point because the back yard felt like swiss cheese under the grass, but I saw some more repellants and thought "Perhaps the previous owner rid me of them!"

A fool I was. badger and I found a couple molehills near our back fence last night, and now we need to know how to get rid of these things. badger has a green thumb, and I really want her to have a yard she can enjoy, rather than a zoo. I would prefer to not kill them, but being higher on the food chain does grant us that privilege.

Try these, srsly they work great.

My uncles neighbor uses them, and for years had serious problems with the little bastards. Since he started using these traps, the mole problem has gotten better.

But you still have to go out and arm the traps.

I usually flood the tunnels and watch real close, when they start sticking their noses out, I skewer them with a shovel blade. I think this is the peta approved method.

So if you get rid of the grubs and stuff the moles go away to find food somewhere else.

Seems easy enough. Do that. You like your neighbors?

Or do it the hillbilly way and attach a hose to the exhaust on your car/truck and run the other end to their main tunnel.

It will be sleepee tiemz then.

Advanced Redneck.Take the propane bottle off your grill and stick the hose down the hole. Pump the propane down the hole, remove the bottle, strike a match and run.

So if you get rid of the grubs and stuff the moles go away to find food somewhere else.

Truth.

Spread poison granules. Whichever grabs you by the pants. Sevin, permethrin, doesn't matter, other than rotating your poisons every year or two. But instead of the technique to prevent fleas and ticks (water then apply), do the opposite. Apply then water, essentially watering the granules into the soil. Don't overwater. Pop 'em about every 6 weeks.

I got moles all over the place. I HAD moles all over the place. My neighbor's yard is eat up with 'em, but rarely do I get the occasional run through the yard. It's usually a pretty good indicator that I'm getting close to needing a re-application of granules because for the most part, they don't even bother.

Good luck with it.

The trapping method is effective. After you trap them, put the cage in a lawn and leaf bag, run a hose from your lawn mower exhaust into the bag and they are PETA approved daid. Replace and reset the trap in another run and repeat the steps above.
