Vote away. KC & The Sunshine Band is always good. My Misses likes Rick Springfield. And I boo booed, KC is on the 31st. My Birfday is the 30th. Probably why I made the mistake.

All of the standard rules apply. Maybe we can have a SF Concert party! ;)

Oh, and I meant to misspell Rick Springfield, so there! ;)

America is a guilty pleasure for me. I remember seeing them about 20 years ago at the incomparable Myriad (side hall, if I remember right), with the Beach Boys and Three Dog Night. And it was a way, WAY oldies show back then.

I enjoy disco music as I am one sick SOB. If it's the original line-up, I'd choose KC.

Bah. KC and CCR are the only ones I've even heard of. Wait, Kellie Pickler I've heard of as well.

"Do a little dance, make a little love, Get down tonight, Get down tonight." What classic lyrics.

Also, Kellie Pickler is a cutie. I'd go even though I don't really like C&W.

I saw all these references to "CCR" and thought you guys meant Cross Canadian Ragweed.

if by "tribute", you mean having two of the original members...

it's CCR with no Fogertys

I hope, for my sake, that my daughter doesn't find out that Aly & AJ and Corbin Bleu are going to be here. If she does, I'll more than likely end up at one of those. :( Aly's cute, so I'll pick that one.

you'd get some young'un props fro this if the latter wasn't *intentionally* working the former CCR acronym. live and learn. on the Green River...

Jed's been across the desert on a horse with no name.

i'm probably have to vote none. not for any reason, but none of those bands make me wanna be there. i'm the same way with Red Rocks 90% of the time; so, i ain't dissing Frontier City. i saw plenny of wicked shootouts there.

I'm pretty sure they're all old fogertys by now.

There's gonna be lots of beards at that show.

i like the black keys a lot.

REM, June 3 you nostalgia freaks.

best show i ever saw at Red Rocks was Echo and the Bunnymen in 1987, maybe. I was blown away. they only played for like an hour, but it awesome. worst, New Order and Gene Loves Jezebel in about the same time (not a live band) and somehow let myself get talked into a Blues Traveller show. i was miserable the whole time.

other great shows there: Willie Nelson, that's a good time.

and unless it's free, i won't be going to the REM show.

Disappointing that New Order wasn't good in concert. Not surprising, but disappointing. Some of those studio-heavy electronica leaning bands somehow manage to pull it off live, and some are teh succ. New Order is one of my all-time sentimental faves, and I never got to see them live. Maybe just as well.

The Cars was another example of a band that ranks among my all time faves, and yet their show at the LNC circa '88 or so was one of the worst shows I have ever seen, ever. I mean EVER.

i like those guys (REM). i just ain't going to pay Red Rocks prices to see them.

in this area, Red Rocks hosts a lot of ****ty overpriced shows and a grotesque summer litany of "sponsored for X shows" and "festivals". you don't see it as special. it ain't the Sunday Bloody Sunday video every night out.

it's a medium to large venue show, that's it. Really.

i'd pay to see REM at the Gothic, or Ogden Theatre in Denver, maybe. one last time. Red Rocks, no.

Corbin Bleu is a musical genious. Plus he has good hair.

Disappointing that New Order wasn't good in concert. .

it was terrible. how can you be disappointed, really? they are a studio act.

it would cool as hell to see that riff on Age of Consent played live and it work like that, but it doesn't.

this is after Love Triangle and Lowlife...so, it was bigtime. just watching themn jump around and pretend to play everything was silly.

buncha suburban teeny boppers, kinda like the late Bronco Bowl shows.

you might as well set up your amps in the backyard and play them really loud. Sumner sang, but that was about it.

or a guitar/bass and not loop driven, convincing performance of Love Vigilantes.

Peter Hook pretended to play? That makes me really sad. Dude, he's one of the all-time bassists in the game. Adam Clayton made a career out of ripping off his high bassline riffs.

And I've seen a number of studio bands that still worked it live. I think it's a matter of want to.

Since the Molly Hatchet singer let disaster win, Frontier City is but a dusty ghost town with expensive parking to me.
