94.7 The Buzz vs 100.5 the KATT

I have to admit I have been listening to 94.7 more and more lately. But those irratating self-promoting commercials they do are extremely annoying. They have one that says, "They say curiousity killed the KATT. We're curious." How stupid is that? You notice the KATT never evar mentions their competition? Never. But 94.7 is more willing to play stuff you'd never hear on the KATT. Guns n Roses "My Michelle" is a song I hadn't heard in 20 years. It re-affirmed what a great band they were for their time, at least for me. I had forgotten about that song. The KATT never plays it. They play the same sh** over and over. I think 94.7 has a better play list than 104.5 The Edge (Tulsa) which is saying a lot. Can they just get rid of their stupid self-promotion?

The KATT was good many, many years ago, before Citadel made them into just another station with annoying Howard Stern wannabes. I pretty much quit listening to them a couple of years before I moved down here. They were still never as good as 96X.

I don't listen to terrestrial radio anymore, I really like my Sirius.

I had one on my car in high school, until they changed formats my senior year. We knew it was coming, a neighbor who was The 96X Blue Walrus mascot moved to the KATT about six months before the format change because they were in the planning stages for it.

The Buzz tries to claim all "new rock" and this and that. Yet, they have started playing all this "Guns and Roses" and "Metallica" lately. Give me the KATT 9 times outta 10.

I live far NW OKC and I lose them before I get to my house, but the last time I went to Shawnee I could get them out there. :confused:
