...and his cronies, both domestic and foreign, jacking up oil prices to the point where no one can pay for gasoline? Yea sure, the last Fed beige book said spending was up, but this is because the price of goods necessary for autonomous consumption (gas, groceries, etc.) keeps rising. Both of the recessions in the 70s were caused by hostilities between the US and the Middle East causing a shortage of oil and absurdely high gas prices, and I think the reason why oil prices are so high today is because of high prices based on the fact that there are tensions in the Middle East.

Anyway, I just wonder how much of this speculation is purely on the fact that they know the American consumer will buy their product knowing that we will pay just about any price. I think this kind of price increase is crowding out a lot of other spending that a lot of companies need to stay around.

I just realized that since I've been traveling for work most of this year, I've probably bought about two tanks of gas with my own money this whole year. :D

Perhaps with T. Boone's success he can afford to buy osu a national championship now. Or a Big 12 Championship. Or a winning season. :D

T. Boone is a liberal, part of the socialist menace. if that isn't true, he doesn't think John McCain is a "real" conservative.

I asked how much. I do understand that corn ethanol in the US is an idea made outta fail. I also understand that there's that housing market and credit crunch problems too.

This is why I'm glad I drive a Corolla. Cost me less than 40 bucks to fill up and gets 35 mpg on the highway:D

It took the equivalent of $10 to fill up my bike today.

Okay, the dollar isn't what it used to be, but still...that's insane.
