Looks like all the horns are right, then NFL won't be fooled by all the hype surrounding Tommie Harris. They will be able to finally put to bed the myth that Tommie Harris is ever decent....I am thinking early 4rth or 5th round pick is what he will be.

The proper horn response to this is "Mel Kiper is a moron".

I'm thinkin' NFL Europe. Maybe he can improve his game for a couple of years and eventually make it in the NFL.

He's going somewhere in the 1st round or he'd be getting ready for spring drills in Norman and hangin out in Dale Hall.

Harris is not ready for the NFL...I think 2or 3 years in NFL Europe and a couple of years in the Arena Football League and he might get picked up by the CFL. ;)

Now the horn mantra has changed from "He won't be drafted early" to "He'll be drafted early but he'll fail like one other guy I know of."

Wilkinson's entering his 11th year in the league. While he hasn't lived up to his draft status, somebody must think he's decent or he'd be long gone.

When Tommie Harris makes All Pro. The Horns will all say that the NFL doesn't have any top notch quality D-Linemen at this time. When he goes to the Hall of Fame, they will say it was just a light year and he had no competition. When he goes to Heaven, they will say that God only admitting him to the low rent district of Heaven.

The most important Tommie Harris stat on this college football-related message board is this one: 3 wins, 0 losses versus Texas.

Triumph the Insult Comic Dog would say that the Texas Longhorns were a great college football team...for Tommie Harris to poop on!

I agree with Triumph on this one.

I thought Emtman was having a "breakout" roookie year, got seriously hurt and never fully recovered. Seems like two high profile guys had the same "freak" injury.

Not quite the same as being a healthy overall #1 and never making it.

Nice call. Didn't Hook em Horns get banned recently? What an idiot. Yeah, Harris was an average player.

Isn't it funny how UT fans trash a guy that they really wanted, but he went to OU. Shows how much it hurt them to lose Harris.

Can't wait for statements that Jamal Charles is better than AD. Wait.... I think that is already starting.

I'm thinkin' NFL Europe. Maybe he can improve his game for a couple of years and eventually make it in the NFL.I'm thinking a couple of years in AF2 then move to for a year or to the Arena major league then to NFL Europe to prep for an NFL shot.Maybe CFL is more realistic.

Which is different from when he would finish a game with 2 tackles and people would say "Yes it's because he was getting triple teamed and thus all the other guys made the tackles."

Gandalf_The_Grey
7/24/2006, 01:59 AM
Well if one were to think logically, the NFL has better talent..can't double team, his stats improves because he was in more one on one situations. Do you know why we always had a Butkus canidate every year...because Tommie Harris occupied linemen and allowed Calmus, Lehmen, and the others to roam around and make God awful amounts of tackles. It's not rocket science but you whorns liked to make it so.

Hey Texas fans- Name a UT defensive lineman (any position) better than Tommie Harris in the last 10 or 15 years. Hint- you can't unless you are in your typically delusional sate.

You guys are still ****ed off that he switched to OU at the last minute. Admit it.
