Was this past March 24th.For those who don't recall two boys Andrew Golden age 11,Mitchell Johnson age 13 killed 4 students and a teacher in Jonesboro,Ark on March 24 1988.Anyhow the shooting was featured on THE BIOGRAPHY channel and as I watched it occurred to me that both boys are now free or soon to be free under Arkansas law.At age 11 and 13 they could NOT be tried as adults so the maximum sentence they could recieve was confinement in a juvenile facility until age 21.By my math Mitchell is 23 and has been free for two years and Andrew Golden 21 has recently been released or will be soon. The scariest part about this whole thing is if it can happen in Joesboro,Ark. it can happen anywhere.

I have a sketchy meory of a similar school shooting in Ft. Gibson but I don't recall any details.

I'm sorry, they should've been tried as adults and FRIED as adults. Same with that dip**** in Pearl, Miss. Same with that dip**** in Oregon, Kip Kinkel (then again, if I had a ghey name like that, I might be deranged too). It was PREMEDITATED MURDER. They planned the shootings, they executed them, people died...

It's Jonesboro actually. And it makes you feel any better, earlier this year, Johnson was convicted of using an illegal substance in possession of a firearm. He also faces separate charges on possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, fraud, and theft.

He is currently back in jail awaiting sentencing on the gun possession charge and he's looking at 10 years in grown-up prison. I'm thinking he's looking at being in and out of the hoosegow for the rest of what will very probably be a short life.

Oh yeah, when busted on the pot/gun dealio, Johnson was in the company of a kid who killed his own father with a crossbow in 1999 and got let loose at age 21. It's like they had a "ex-juvenile killer" gang or something.

Then next April, it will be the 10th anniversary of the Columbine massacre. That's a scary thought right there.
