Fare, not fair.

I just about broke even. Converted a traditional IRA to a Roth, so I had to claim that as income-which puts me out of the "receiving $600 stimulus" group-but got a $500 refund. So I call that breaking even. I guess.

got quite a bit back from the feds. Of the 3 states I have to file with, I got a little back from one, all of it back from another, and owe the third nearly all of what I got back from the second one.

We got a ridiculous amount back were talking 5 figures. But I basically run my own business, plus paying taxes on two house, getting married, and not changing my tax return to show that I was married till this. I basically gave the government a very large interest free loan.

Will not make that mistake again.

Oh did I mention that I have close to 30k deductible miles off my vehicle?

yup...I switched jobs this year...both jobs involved me getting paid by public universities located in states other than the one I live in.

After getting drilled for just over 11k I'd love to see a flat tax!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
