I used it to study some French. I liked it.
I work in the same field as the Rosetta Stone folks.
We bought a copy a while back as we're working on a Spanish title of our own to compare and contrast. Absolutely, hands-down the best Spanish software we've seen. We haven't explored much of the verb conjugations or anything, but as far as learning vocabulary - it's unbelievably good.

It's like anything else though, buying it and popping it into the laptop won't help you speak/understand a language. You've gotta actually practice.
I've got the Latin-American spanish for all levels and it's very well done. Of course I haven't spent the time I should studying/practicing.
I prefer the Castilian version of Spanish. I figure I'll go with the mother tongue and let the mongrels try to understand me. ;)
