Say your coming from Bristow on I-44 and you're going to get on 169 in Tulsa to go north to Owasso.

Would you take I-44 straight through to 169, or would you go around on 244?

Also, i saw a tag today in Owasso that sad "XOUFB37" (ex OU fullback #37)

I wonder who he was?

244. Since you're going north anyway, it makes more sense.

i always take 244 to 169 going to Owasso as well

sometimes i bypass 169 and take 75 to 86th or something. not sure how that would work in big *** truck though

If 86th is a sh*tty as 66th...don't. :D

Thanks guys. I like to stay on the big roads as much as possible. I think bri is right. Besides, I-44 between Riverside and Sheridan is a death trap anyway.

Indeed it is. I hate driving it, and I have a small car.

Lake Oolagah has some serious sand bass fishing. for reals.

I fell off a 15-foot cliff there once when I was in Boy Scouts. Good times.

At least no one molestered me.

If you coming during the busy times of the day, take 244, then go north on highway 75 and across 76th to owasso. Highway 75 is much faster, 169 is always jammed up. I drive this route everyday.

Or ex OU football #37, perhaps.

A real man would take I-44 and suck it up. :D

Been doing that almost everyday, sometimes twice a day, for the last 5 years. It started to get old back in 2004.

There is only one way to run a semi through there, and that's in the left lane, and no matter how fast I go (and sometimes it's pretty fast) I still have angry people behind me.

I actually have to slow down when I get to the 3 lane part past Sheridan because the motorcycle cops are there, and run the middle lane.

Yeah, I think 244 is more semi-friendly. But not by much.

The trees aren't really that big of a problem as long as you manage to stay on the road. We kind of clear them out of the way when we make streets.

The hills are what'll get ya.

AAARRRRGGGHHHH!!!! A HILL!!!! WHAT SHOULD I DO????!?!?

I say that all of the time when I'm driving over in that part of the state. Good call.

The hills are what'll get ya.

I hit the bottom of the Sapulpa hill at 80mph. By the time I get to the top, I'm going about 60.

But then again I weigh 80,000lbs, too.

Back in 2003 I drove a Mack that would be at 45mph at the top. I had to turn on my flashers so the cars wouldn't smash into the back of me.

If you weren't coming from Bristow it would be much easier.
