I have no idea how to make a damn Tom Collins. I don't believe they're real! I think they're really just a sick joke that people play on one another while drinking. Now go back to learning how to defend me.

Jeebus, people.

Tom Collins:
2 parts gin
1 part lemon juice
sugar (or simple syrup)

pour that into a Collins glass over ice, top with soda water, and drink.

Amen to that. This Tom Collins bs that GHP is spewing just serves to dilute a perfectly good beer thread. I suggest you post more pictures of great beer.

YWIA. Don't use the faggy glass though. It's a true pint, so get a real, honest-to-god pint glass.

Or had to fill in at bartender a few times while waiting tables. I mean damn, people, they NAMED the GLASS after it. Ya uncultured hillbillies. ;)

Tonight's selection:

http://www.foundersbrewing.com/labels/Curmudgeon_4Pack_Side.jpg

Curmudgeon, by the fine folks at Founders Brewing.

From the description on the bottle:

This Old Ale conjures up thoughts of classic sea fairing ports, there local pubs and the weathered fisherman that frequent them. In traditional style Curmudgeon is brewed with an intense focus on the malt bill creating a very strong, rich, malty characteristic and a sweetness indicative of its cousin the barleywine. We are especially proud of the balance in this beer making it deceptively smooth and drinkable at 9.3% alcohol by volume.
Editor's Note - The 2006 bottled version has been aged in bourbon barrels.

Lots of chewy malt and definite presence of bourbon heat. Tasty. I'm thinking of buying a lighthouse.

It was solid. Not the best IPA I've ever had, but a nice citrusy sweet hop bomb that I'd drink again. A bit too much alcohol heat.

The beer tasting stands at McNellie's during the Blue Dome Arts Festival was pretty neat. I enjoyed the new Tulsa beer, but what was it called? M-something? Michaels? I can't remember. Too much beer.

Marshall Brewing.

Eric is the younger brother of a guy I went to HS with. A great family, they're gonna do it right.

Yeah I swung by that actually, but two kids in strollers and that mess wasn't going to happen so I skipped it.

Dear Norman Pride,

I love you!

Love,
~badger :D

PS: NP makes the bestest magaritas in the world but unfortunately, I am too lightweight-of-a-drinker to enjoy such wonders. Anyone who has seen me attempt to drink any form of alcohol will testify that I cannot finish one lousy Oklahoma-point beer without falling asleep in the process. As such, I am happy that NP has so many great friends who enjoy his magarita talents because his wife can't :( But NP is also very talented in many other ways, so its ok to share the margarita thing :D

PPS: Change your sig. NOW.
